Funding request

The KWVR Friends can only approve funding grants that meet our charitable objects. Applications must explain how the project and the funding request meets our objects (listed below).

The objects of the Trust are the preservation, restoration, maintenance and protection of such of the structures, buildings, plant, locomotives, rolling stock and equipment on or adjacent or connected with the railway line between Keighley and Oxenhope, West Yorkshire, herein after called the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. And are of historic, cultural, architectural, constructional, or scientific interest, or exhibit craftsmanship worthy of preservation and in furtherance of the said objects, but not further or otherwise. The trustees shall have the following powers.

  1. The acquisition of such items of plant, railway equipment, locomotives, rolling stock and buildings, as well enhance the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and is consistent with the objects set out herein
  2. The promotion of public access to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and public knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the architectural constructional scientific features thereof and locomotives rolling stock and similar items thereon
  3. The promotion of public knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the historic and cultural aspects of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway
  4. Such other charitable purposes for the advancement of education associated with the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. And the surrounding area, as the trustees shall think fit.
